I love umbrella season, mostly.

As monsoon season is now officially underway, I’m sure to see more and more cute Koreans carrying the cute umbrellas I like so much, except when they threaten to collide with my face on a crowded sidewalk (one hazard of being taller than most people around me here).

As dangerous as they can be, these fun accessories, and the women and children who carry them, still captivate me with all their bright colors and beautiful patterns (a little too much, my husband thinks). I’ll try to capture more of the variety this summer so you can enjoy them, too!

Danielle - What a fun perspective on the rainy season! I hate the inconvenience of rain but I’m going to start viewing it through your bright and colorful umbrella filter. I might even invest in a fun new umbrella:)

My friend Lia | Headshot photography

We had such a fun time playing with window light one afternoon this spring (I stole Lia away while our other lady friends were hard at work in the kitchen, I must admit).

Isn’t she gorgeous?
