Yesterday afternoon, we visited Keumsan Temple on the outskirts of Jeonju in Moak Mountain. It was used in the eighth century AD as the main Korean temple for practicing Maitreya Buddhism during the Unified Shilla Dynasty.
Unless otherwise captioned, I don’t know much about what I shot (sorry) except that I thought it looked lovely for shooting.

I believe these were potted flowers and other plants available to purchase for use as gifts in the temples.

A super-cute group of Korean girls also touring the temple, I think. They talked a tiny bit with an EPIK teacher or two.

It was SO hot and humid.

So, many teachers stopped to enjoy the cool water on the long trek back to the parking at the entrance.

We mostly put our feet in, as our new friend Dawn is doing here, and some waded and splashed around a bit. The Korean families came better prepared to enjoy their time together on and in the water.

VERY prepared (this is mostly soju, Korean hard liquor).

Korea, you make for a very hot day of touring in August, but we love you.
